Large supermarket sells vegetables for 1p – but you only have until Thursday to snap up a bargain

A major supermarket is slashing the price of vegetables, which normally cost 99p or £1, to just a penny, but you must shop online before April 14 to take advantage of the offer

A major supermarket chain is selling all its vegetables for 1p until Thursday to help out Cost of Living Crisis .
The offer means vegetables, which normally cost 99p or £1, have been slashed to just 1p a pack.
To take advantage of the offer, customers simply have to add vegetables to the shopping cart when shopping online and enter the code “ICE1VEG” when paying.
Then a discount will be given. The scheme runs from today until 11pm on April 14th This is reported by the Manchester Evening News .
All fresh vegetables on offer have a best before date which falls after Easter Sunday to ensure they are fresh for the bank holiday weekend.
Shoppers keen to grab a bargain have until Thursday to take advantage of Iceland’s offer.
Iceland Managing Director Richard Walker said: If we can help people who are in need save a few pennies while enjoying the same amazing quality of vegetables, then we have done our job of being the supermarket that people focus on the buyers can rely on.”

Iceland last implemented a 1p vegetable offering in the run-up to Christmas 2021
At the time, Iceland said it had “blown the competition out of the water” by undercutting rivals Aldi and Lidl by up to 18p.
Back then, however, buyers had to buy three packs to get the discount.
