Latest Tomato Sauce Revealed on The Masked Dancer

TV presenter Steph McGovern was revealed to be Tomato Sauce in The Masked Dancer, making her the fifth star to be eliminated from the competition.

Saturday night’s episode of ITV’s mysterious celebrity dance show saw the journalist lose to Odd Socks, whom the jury chose to save after two characters were in danger of being eliminated.

Debates Jonathan Ross, Oti Mabuse, Davina McCall, and Peter Crouch guessed Tomato Sauce could have been Rebel Wilson, Nadiya Hussain, Mick Hucknall, or the exact answer of McGovern, 40, before she was revealed.

As per her reveal, McGovern said she was initially nervous about performing on the show and had dreams about her character’s head falling off in the middle of the dance.

“Of course I was nervous, but right from the start, I loved it,” she said.

“My biggest fear is my head falling off. I had crazy dreams about it.”

The Steph’s Packed Lunch host also said the mask gave her confidence, saying: “I certainly wouldn’t be as confident without the mask, although it would be funny for the whole country to look at. see the funny faces that I pull.

“I also give all mine under the mask, even though you can’t see me.”

Elsewhere on the show, it was revealed that The Masked Dancer’s first double act, Pillar and Post, was forced to withdraw from the competition.

Presenter Joel Dommett explained: “Sadly, Pillar fell during practice and I’m really happy to tell you that on medical advice they had to withdraw from the competition.”

The judges had one last chance to guess who the dancing duo in disguise could be, before they were revealed to be heroic couple goalkeeper David Seaman and figure skater Frankie Poultney.

In a statement, Poultney, 49, said of leaving the competition: “We were gutted because we absolutely loved every minute of it.

“It was fun but a somersault meant our masked journey was over too soon, we had such an explosion and we are sad to have to put up our masks and not be able to. share our last dance with all of you.

“We’d love to be a part of this series and we wish the other competitors the best of luck as we continue to watch at home and try to guess who all the other celebrities are.”

An ITV spokesman also confirmed the couple’s departure, saying: “Due to an injury during training, Pillar had to withdraw from the competition, we wish her a speedy recovery.”

Speaking after leaving the show, Seaman, 59, revealed he was “very nervous” during the competition and “would never want to do it without a mask”.

Poultney said the highlight of the show was being able to dance with her husband, and revealed that Beyonce would be her own dream performer to see behind one of the masks.
