Laura Tobin has revealed she ‘loves’ Richard Madeley, who presents Good Morning Britain, because he ‘has no filter’.

The presenter’s comments come as Richard blasted Chris Rock on GMB on Monday after the comedian was slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars for making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith’s shaved head.

Richard didn’t hold back, describing Chris as the “most awkward person I’ve interviewed without hesitation”.

“I was asked by GQ Magazine a few years ago. He was the most awkward person I’ve ever interviewed in my entire career, and it goes back to 1972 when I started working for a local newspaper,” he told Susanna Reid.

Later in the show, Richard continued to smack Chris for joking: “Jada, can’t wait for GI Jane 2” and called him a “toxic person”.

He added: “When a man makes a rude and rude remark about his wife, you are playing with fire. I’m not saying it’s right.”

Susanna, 51, interjected: “This is assault and not okay. There is no justification for hitting another person.”
