Laura gushed: “They say there are seven wonders of the world, but for me there is only one – you.
“On this whole amazing planet, in my eyes, you are the most special thing.”
Laura went on to share some heartbreaking statistics about the declining health of the planet as she shared her concerns about her daughter’s future.

“This letter is to tell you that I will do everything I can to make sure you see all the wonders our world has to offer,” the loving mother wrote.
“I want your eyes to be wide open to all the new things you see and for those memories to last a lifetime.
“I’m sad that some things might only be alive in other people’s stories, photos or memories. Will you see the polar bears and reindeer or will they be long gone? It’s not too late to rewrite the end of the story and I want to do that for you so you can see the world in all its glory, with all the tiny islands, all the beautiful plants and all the amazing animals.

“I’m sorry we’ve known for so long that our planet is overheating because of our actions. I’m sorry the ice is melting and the seas are rising. I am sorry that millions of people are forced to leave their homes because of the effects of climate change – because of heat waves, wildfires and floods.
“We are sorry that in the short span of our lives so far, our planet has been the hottest in human history. We are sorry that by 2050 all the plastic in the oceans will outweigh all the fish unless we act urgently. Sorry to believe that ok to throw trash on the floor.
“Sorry we’re not kinder to our planet – it’s the only one we have and we should take care of it as carefully as I take care of you.”
