Lauren Goodger learns ‘soft fan’ method for ‘easier and smoother’ birth

As she prepares to become a mother of two later this month, former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger is doing all she can to ensure a calm labor – including mastering the method’ soft side, soft side’

Lauren Goodger is preparing to welcome her second child later this month, with the help of a doula teaching her some valuable – and unique – birthing tricks.

Former TOWIE star, 35, and amateur soccer player Charles Drury are expecting to welcome their second daughter to the world soon, less than a year since the arrival of daughter Larose last year. July 2021.

Before giving birth later this month, Lauren worked alongside Emma Armstrong aka The Naked Doula – an award-winning childbirth expert and influencer who is teaching the reality TV star practically all about the ‘floppy face, floppy fan’ method.

“Floppy Face Floppy Fanny mantra is affecting births worldwide!” Emma told the Mirror as she explained how it works during labor.

“The connection between the jawbone and the pelvic floor is truly magical and supported by anatomy and science!

“By releasing or releasing the jaw, we automatically allow our pelvic floor to relax – so this leads to controllable contractions that allow the uterine muscles to work together effectively. with the perineum and vagina completely relaxed!”

Emma went on to claim that the days of “grinding her teeth and holding her breath” during labor are long gone.

“Using FFFF instead allows your body to stretch and the baby to be born in an easier and smoother transition,” she explains.

“Lauren will use this technique during contractions and pushing with my guidance if needed.”

Lauren announced her second pregnancy with Charles in January of this year, although the couple split shortly after giving birth to Larose last year.

The star – who once dated former co-star Mark Wright – first talked about how the doula would help her “mentally and physically” when she gave birth on Instagram last week.

“I’m having a vaginal delivery at home (again) but this time I’ll have my doula (Emma). She’s amazing and today she explained to me what the body is really doing during the procedure.” going into labor and I understand this is actually a lot better and breathing through and working with non-resistive contractions!

“My first labor was at 7 o’clock so this time I hope it will be even better! Today we spent a day together and I even fell asleep. I drifted away. for 5 minutes. I’m so calm haha…”

The Essex native ended on a positive note, writing: “I’m completely exhausted with minimal support and available 24/7 with my @babylarose.x so I’m grateful to have it. This help. It’s part of the mind and I can’t wait to share the experience with you. “

Lauren will give birth to her second daughter within the next few weeks.
