League of Legends The North American esports league is changing times to match Europe

RIOT Games, makers of League of Legends and Valorant, has changed the times of its North American esports league.

From 2023, the weekly tournaments in the US will be shown at noon so that European fans can watch in the evenings.

League of Legends is one of the most popular esports in the world.

League of Legends is one of the most popular esports in the world and is followed by fans all over the world.

However, to date, tournaments have been streamed at times that were most convenient for viewers in the countries where they are held.

The new schedules aim to give the passionate European audience the best chance to watch despite the tournaments being held in North America.

This means that those wishing to participate in the tournaments must be available in the middle of the day.

It’s particularly annoying for LoL fans since tournaments only take place on weekdays, usually Thursdays and Fridays.

The European tournaments start at 17:00 UK time, meaning the two most popular leagues are broadcast at European-friendly times.

North American fans were quick to show their disappointment with the decision.

Brian Kibler is a former professional Hearthstone player, another game developed by Riot Games.

He’s also been a commentator for Hearthstone tournaments and wasn’t afraid to share his disappointment with the company’s decision on Twitter.

He wrote: “Well I guess I’m sick of watching LCS ever more and I’ve been a regular viewer literally since day one.

“Weekday midday is a completely insane time to broadcast and expect someone to be watching.

“[It’s an] unironically dead league.

“If your goal is to quietly get the NA league behind the barn and shoot at it, that’s what you’re doing.”

Riot Games wrote a lengthy blog post about the decision, citing stats about when most people watch its tournaments.

Despite this, the smaller North American fanbase still feels snubbed by the decision to change the tournament schedule.
