Leandro Trossard hopes Albion continue to have good chances after his hat-trick at Anfield.
The Belgium international scored the club’s first treble of the Premier League era, securing a 3-3 draw at Liverpool.
It’s been a spectacular start to life under new head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
The Italian urged Trossard to score more goals than they recently spoke.
Trossard revealed: “He said he was happy with me and how I played but he still wanted more goals from me.
“I said, ‘If you give me the chances, I’ll score them!’
“I had three days with him but you can see how he wants to play.
“He asks a lot from us. You can see how passionate he is.
“I think a typical Italian coach and to be honest I love him.”
Trossard’s performance was his best in a league game since his hat-trick for Genk against Cercle Brugge in September 2018. But he scored three against Espanyol last season and is already on five for the current Prem season.
He said: “I think I’m getting more chances at the moment.
“I know I can finish in front of the goal.
“If you’re on a team and you get three or four chances in a game, it’s easier to score than if you get just one chance in a game.
“We’re getting so many chances at the moment. I’m very happy with it and above all with the team and the way we play.”
