Leigh-Anne Pinnock Recorded With Jesy Nelson’s Boyz Producers Despite Black Fishing

Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 30, shared a snap of herself with producers Dyo and aB while sitting together in a recording studio. The two women worked on Jesy Nelson’s single Boyz, the song that sparked an argument between two old friends in the band.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who accused Jesy Nelson of ‘Blackfishing’ in her Boyz music video, was in the studio with the song’s two producers.

The Little Mix singer, 30, shared a snap of herself sitting around a table with Dyo and aB on TikTok.

She captioned the video “Studio VYBEZZZZ with these queens,” with a pen and paper emoji, hinting that they were writing the song together.

This comes after mother of two Leigh-Anne called Jesy a “black fish” in leaked Instagram messages.

Last year, she encouraged influencer No Hun to call Jesy for “being a black fish,” before revealing she had cut the three of them off.

In an interview with The Telegraph’s Stella in November 2021, Leigh-Anne said: “We don’t want to talk about video or criticism, but one thing we will be clear about the black-fishing situation is that Jesy was approached by the team in a very friendly, educational way.”

Jade Thirlwall added that, “Taking advantage of aspects of Black people without suffering from the day-to-day realities of the Black experience is problematic and harmful to people of color.”

She added: “We think that harmful stereotypes should not be used at all. There is so much to say on that subject that it is difficult to summarize in a single period of time. “

Jesy spoke to Vulture about the single she released with Nicki Minaj last October and said, “I love black culture. I love black music. It’s all about me. know; that’s what I grew up with. I’m very conscious that I’m a white British woman; I never said that I am not. ”

Jesy left Little Mix to focus on her solo career after struggling to join a girl group, calling her experience “miserable”.

Last year, she told Cosmopolitan UK that she was “constantly comparing herself to others” and said she was battling with her mental health.

“It’s horrible when you didn’t like something about yourself and then thousands of people pointed it out. Now I feel the same way. Looking back now. [at my time] in the band, I really am not me. I couldn’t believe how miserable I was,” she admitted.

Leigh-Anne and the band said they tried to educate Jesy about blackfish fishing

“I didn’t know I could be this happy,” Jesy also said. “I thought when I was in the group that feeling like that was normal. And because I’ve felt this way for 10 years, I just thought, ‘This is life.’

“Since I left, I feel free. I don’t wake up with anxiety, thinking, ‘I have to make a music video today, I need to starve myself.’ Or, ‘I need to go on an extreme diet so I can look like the other three.’ That consumed me.”

Jade Thirlwall was accused of throwing a ball at Jesy during an appearance on Drag Race vs the World earlier this month.

Jessy defended herself against the accusations

She helped the queens as they were recording individual verses in the previous episode prior to their performance.

When RuPaul asked Jade, “How does recording with the queens compare to recording with Little Mix?”

She replied, “Oh, it’s really the same,” replied the singer. “I’ve been controlling people around and there’s an ugly rumor going around that one of the girls is leaving the group tonight.”
