A non-league team had to postpone their game due to a Just Stop Oil protest on the M25 Dartford Crossing.
The Lewes FC men’s side were due to meet Aveley at The Dripping Pan at 7.45pm tonight.
The club announced the match was canceled due to the M25 Dartford crossing protest, a decision by the Isthmian League.
The club confirmed that all tickets are valid for the alternative date, which will be announced “in due course”.
Two people climbed onto the bridge in the early hours of Monday morning “to demand that the government halt all new oil and gas licenses and permits.”
Essex Police said they expect the bridge to remain closed during tonight’s rush hour.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “The QEII bridge is closed to allow us to resolve the situation as safely as possible and there is a diversion through the tunnel.
“This is a complex operation due to the height the protesters are currently at which may take some time, but we are working as quickly as possible.”
Lewes’ next game is this Saturday at home against Margate.
