Lewis Hamilton may be best known for being a world champion racer – but he’d rather think he’s an astronaut.
The 37-year-old Formula 1 ace has racked up an astronomical amount of accolades, wins and medals throughout his professional racing career.
Reportedly, singletons who stumble across his profile on celebrity dating app Raya will be surprised when he claims to have a very different career from what he’s known for.
Those looking for love will find Lewis pretending to be an astronaut as he swipes left and right while looking for love on the exclusive dating app.
The star is back online hoping to find the woman of his dreams after splitting from a model named Camila Kendra.
According to The Sun, the sports star poses in the black light as someone launching into space, with a source claiming: “Lewis describes himself as an astronaut in his profile.
“He performs Big Sean’s song Mercy alongside a montage of some of his best selfies and model snaps.
“The app verifies users by connecting to their official Instagram account so anyone using Raya will know it’s Lewis and not a catfish. He will make women queue up for a date.”
The Sun’s report also claims that Lewis’ Raya account was started four years ago, but he deactivated it when he found love with Camila.
But now he’s back on the shelf, the speed demon is said to have “revamped” his dating site and he’s itching to swipe left and right in search of the perfect date.
And the report says the professional driver is “active” on the dating site – but his past success with his career has seemingly derailed previous romances.
The star lamented the fact that his F1 success often got in the way of his love life as he jetted around the world to compete in the adrenaline-pumping sport.
He previously said of the delicate balancing act required to make a relationship work during the F1 season: “You’re only gone for crazy time.
“That’s probably an added weight that makes it really, really difficult to maintain a good relationship and when things aren’t quite perfect.”
Lewis has dated a number of beautiful women over the years including Kendall Jenner, Winnie Harlow and Rita Ora.
Although his most successful romance was with Nicole Scherzinger, she broke down in 2015 after eight years of relationship.
Raya is an exclusive dating app that charges a monthly subscription fee of £5.99 whose members are vetted by a membership committee.
Other stars believed to have used the app to help them find love include Cara Delevigne, Channing Tatum and Niall Horan.
