Dancing On Ice: Liberty Poole voted out of the show

Liberty Poole had no fear for her life when she discovered a creepy crawling cow squirming around a takeout meal she had ordered – prompting panicky medical professionals to call.

22-year-old former Love Island star crazy dial 111 because she was concerned she would die of ‘bacterial poisoning’ after discovering a maggot in her meal.

The star was at the same time in the bath when she discovered her stomach ache and said she was worried she might get sick enough to die in the water.

Taken to Instagram Story on Friday, the star shared a photo of the meal in question and told her fans and followers about her ordeal.

She began: “So I was a bit traumatized from last night.

“Imagine, I ordered a takeout and there was a maggot in the takeout and I don’t think I’ll ever get a delivery again. Honestly, that’s disgusting.”

She continued her story, saying: “I ended up calling 111 because I happened to be taking a shower and I thought I might die of bacterial poisoning.

“So that might be a bit dramatic, but at least it’s 111, not 999, imagine. So always call 111 not 999 if you think there might be a problem.

“And that’s what I did, I called them saying there was a maggot in my food. Did I throw it away or did I get bacterial poisoning?”

She added: “They reassured me that everything was fine, which was great.

“So tonight, I’m going to live life to the fullest because I didn’t die of bacterial poisoning.”

Last weekend, Liberty crashed from Dancing On Ice after tumbling in the rink live on TV.

The star and her dance partner, Joe Johnson, were kicked out of the competition after skating – but the star remained upbeat about her time on the show.

She said after it was announced her time on the show was over: “Even though we had fall tonight, these things happen on ice.

“Honestly, I’ve enjoyed every second and I’m proud of myself for pushing myself this week. I just want to thank everyone backstage for always being there and supporting me. “

She added: “I also want to thank my mother for being in the audience every week. She is my rock.”

The star has also claimed that appearing on the show helped heal her heart following her explosive split from Jake Cornish last summer when they appeared on Love Island — and left the series hours before the finale when their romance sensationally collapsed under a cloud of suspicion and mistrust after footage emerged showing Jake manipulating Liberty.

She said: “I think about this, you’ll see more of the fun side of me. I’m a fun person and in Love Island you saw how cooperative I am and how I am in a relationship.

“This time you will see me as an individual having fun and learning a new skill, so people will see a different side of me.”
