Lily James is getting ready to kick-start her former music career with not one but two songs to be released in the coming weeks.
The 33-year-old Hollywood star recently made waves when she played Pamela Anderson on Hulu’s controversial series Pam & Tommy – co-starring Sebastian Stan as rock legend Tommy Lee.
While Lily was the on-screen wife of a TV series rocker, she’s now gearing up to become a real-life pop star as she makes her way up the music charts.
The British actress has been working with some of the top musical talent and is expected to release her songs in time for the summer.
A source told The Sun: “She wrote and performed two great songs with DJ Yoda, called Airplane Mode and Breathe.
“Last year Lily was planning to release one but everything was delayed. Now she’s decided to treat fans to two songs instead of one.
“She loves singing and has a wonderful voice. She can’t wait for people to hear what they come up with.”
Earlier it was reported that Lily was planning to release music in the hope of potentially appearing on one of the stages at the Glastonbury Music Festival.
This year’s event will take place later this month, with stars including Billie Eilish, Pet Shop Boys and Diana Ross taking to the stages at Worthy Ranch from June 22 to 26.
A source said last May that Lily was planning her pop debut, teasing: “Lily and DJ Yoda recorded Send Her in North London. It had a really chill vibe, the exact opposite of how Lily felt.
“Lily is a really talented singer and is very excited about bringing the song to market. The plan is to last until the end of summer and try to coincide with Glasto.”
Meanwhile, Lily herself has also showcased her singing abilities by starring in a role in ABBA’s hit musical, Mama Mia!: Here We Go Again, where she played a younger version of ABBA. Meryl Streep’s Donna Sheridan-Carmichael character.
Meryl herself has previously praised Lily’s vocals, saying, “I didn’t know Lily had these amazing voices.
“Some people sing from the bottom up right away. She shook the rafters. She is amazing.”
While Lily expressed her love for singing, said in 2018: “I loved singing as a child and then I stopped and I would never get up to go to karaoke.

“I lost my confidence and then all of a sudden I had to go all the way up.”
As well as appearing in the ABBA blockbuster-inspired film, Lily also appeared in Danny Boyle and Richard Curtis’ Yesterday, which featured music by The Beatles.
