Linda Robson was reunited with Pauline Quirke, 62, and her Birds of a Feather co-star Lesley Joseph, 76, last week. They had lunch and discussed the possibility of a comeback for the hit sitcom
Linda Robson has denied rumors of a breakup with ‘best friend’ Pauline Quirke and said Birds of a Feather could return.
The 64-year-old actress said: “It’s a lot of old shit that we had a fallout.
“We didn’t fall out and we never fell out.
“I’ve been best friends with her since we were 10 years old. We never argued.”
Linda was reunited with Birds of a Feather’s Pauline, 62, and her co-star Lesley Joseph, 76, last week.
They had lunch and discussed the possibility of a comeback for the hit sitcom.
Linda said: “I was at London, The Delaunay, with Pauline for lunch last Friday and it was discussed.”
The show ran on BBC1 from 1989 to 1998 and was revived by ITV in 2014 and ran until 2020.
At talent agent Jonathan Shalit’s party to mark the 30th anniversary of his company InterTalent, Linda said: “Now it’s up to ITV, isn’t it?
“It started at BBC and then we went to ITV. We could go to BBC but our loyalty is to ITV as after all this time they took us back.”
Rumors of a feud surfaced after Pauline quit her role as Sharon Theodopolopodous in 2017, leaving Linda and Lesley to continue the show without her. It was said at the time that Pauline left because she wanted to “focus on her acting academy.”
The final Birds of a Feather episode was a 2020 Christmas special that was viewed by 7.9 million people despite Pauline’s absence. It is not known if Pauline would return if the BBC or ITV commissioned the show again.
Linda and Pauline played bickering sisters Sharon and Tracey, with Lesley as their friend Dorien.
