Lisa Kudrow gave her full support following the prospect of a reboot of the hit 1990s sitcom Friends.
In the series, Kudrow played the eccentric character Phoebe Buffay. She appeared alongside actors Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer in a television reunion special last year.
However, the film is special in the form of an unedited behind-the-scenes documentary, leaving some fans disappointed for the lack of a new film. Friend episode.
At a recent red carpet event, Kudrow was Where is Buzz? about her thoughts on the reboot, and said she “loves” the idea – as long as the project has a whole new cast.
“I don’t think there will be a Friend restart. I mean, not with any of us in it. Not that [Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane] writing.”
“But a reboot… where they hire other actors?” she asked. “I will for it. I would love to see what The current version of that would be. “
Friends: The Reunion airs on HBO Max in the US and Sky One in the UK on Thursday, May 27.
The biggest moment of the reunion came when Aniston and Schwimmer revealed that they had real-life romantic feelings for each other while filming the show.
