SHE has hit the charts as one-third of the biggest girl bands since the Spice Girls, but Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock is all set to go solo.
I am so happy about that singer signed a bumper contract with Warner Music – home of Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran and Madonna.
The agreement comes into effect two months after Little Mix announced that it would be shutting down.
But it marks the beginning of an exciting and promising new era for her.
A source told me: “Several brands want to buy Leigh-Anne, but Warner seems to be the best fit.
“She was in the studio working on songs for months.
“Leigh-Anne definitely loves Little Mix and always will, but the truth is she’s been ready to go on her own for a while. “
Leigh-Anne proved that she has more than enough of what it takes to stand on her own two feet by showing off in her festive film Gifting Day.
In the movie, she performed several songs including a new solo song produced by renowned producer MNEK.
My insider added: “Small mix has worked with MNEK for many years and he has helped create some of their biggest hits.
“But when it came to her solo career, they wanted to do something special.
“They wrote Woman together and it was used on Boxing Day but they didn’t make a big song and dance about it.
“They also have other songs that could be used for her solo career – Leigh-Anne is very talented and really wants to build on her time on Little Mix.”
The group first formed on The X Factor in 2011 and have released six hit albums and achieved five No.1 singles.
The girls said, “We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour next April/May, we will be taking a break from Little Mix.
“It’s been ten great years, a non-stop great adventure, and we feel it’s time to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects.
“We are sisters and we will always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever. See you on the tour! ”
Their final trip will begin in Belfast, Northern Ireland on April 9 and will end at the O2 Arena in London on May 14 – after which they are all expected to begin their journey. his solo career.
Their former bandmate Jesy Nelson has been solo and released their debut single, Boyz, featuring Nicki Minaj last year.
By the time 2022 is over, I expect Leigh-Anne, Jade and Perrie to catch up.
