Littlehampton Coastguard respond to ordnance found on Climping beach

A bomb squad was called after an ordnance was found.

The Littlehampton Coastguard has been made aware of the ordnance found on the beach at Climping, Littlehampton.

The ordnance was safely disposed of by the Portsmouth Diving and Threat Exploitation Group using a controlled detonation.

A Littlehampton Coastguard spokesman said: “Ordnance on the coast can come in all shapes and sizes.

“If you find anything suspicious, call 999 and ask for the Coast Guard.”
