Aberdeen’s Calvin Ramsay has attracted a lot of attention north of the border and Jurgen Klopp is keen to include him in his squad for Liverpool, despite competition from elsewhere

Liverpool and Leeds are ready to fight for highly-rated teenager Calvin Ramsay who continues to impress for Aberdeen.
Jurgen Klopp has agreed to pursue the 18-year-old, who has made 33 appearances for the Scotland team this season.
Aberdeen are only willing to sell for a fee that exceeds their current record of £3million. Ramsay has only been part of the first team for just over a year but has continued to grow in stature.
Last month he was named Young Player of the Year by the Scottish Football Writers, an accolade Kieran Tierney had previously won in three consecutive years, such were his performances north of the border. He named Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and his Scottish compatriot Andy Robertson as important influences.
Ramsay said: “There are some great players who have won the award and it’s a tremendous achievement for me. As a full-back, watching Trent and his crosses and his technical ability – if I could reach that level it would be a bonus.”
“Andy Robertson at Liverpool and Tierney at Arsenal were brilliant and they are players I look up to, especially as like me they are full-backs. I think I could go on with that as well.” That lure of learning from the pair and working under Klopp will no doubt feed into his decision.
However, as its development is rapid, regular minutes are key. Alexander-Arnold is one of the leading figures at Anfield and his understudy, Neco Williams, has seen his games limited and eventually ended up on loan. That’s why Leeds could prove more attractive, reports the Athletic.

First-choice right-back Luke Ayling is in his 30s and may need to be replaced at Elland Road soon. That would offer Ramsay an accelerated path into the starting XI at Yorkshire. Norwich City, who are poised for a return to the Championship, and Italian club Sassuolo are also keen on the young Scot.
Klopp has continued to champion youth during his tenure at Anfield. The club recently completed the signing of Ben Doak from Celtic. Alexander-Arnold is the club’s academy’s greatest success story, but stars like Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott have been allowed to flourish.
The German previously said: “Ultimately the young players have to be receptive and how they adapt and integrate depends a lot on them. If you ask anyone from our first team, they will tell you that we are blessed with an exceptional group .”
