Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has offered his condolences to Manchester United Cristiano Ronaldo after the tragic death of his son shortly after birth.

The United striker missed that First League The sides’ encounter on Tuesday night after he was granted a sympathy leave by his club following news of his son, confirmed on Monday. Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez were expecting twins, but unfortunately only their daughter arrived safely.

Reds fans thanked for the stylish gesture

Liverpool fans were thanked by Cristiano Ronaldo’s family after the one-minute applause in honor of the Manchester United footballer’s son.

Following the touching tribute at Anfield on Tuesday night, Ronaldo’s sisters Elma and Katia and mother Dolores shared messages thanking them for their thoughts at a difficult time. Cristiano’s sister Elma, who lives in Madeira, wrote on social media: “Thank you for this Liverpool. We will never forget what you did today.”
