Liverpool emerged from the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with injury concerns against a key player, with Diogo Jota now a doubt for the FA Cup clash Manchester City.

Klopp made changes to his side to face Benfica Champions League, but has now discussed his picks and admitted that players don’t always like it. However, the results have been impressive and could help them push the envelope First League title race.

There was also sad news from Anfield after a fan passed away after falling ill at the Benfica game on Wednesday night.

Jota a doubt for City

Liverpool head in theirs FA Cup Semi-final game against Man City with a key player potentially missing through injury.

Mohamed Salah came on as a second-half substitute at Anfield but still managed to succumb to defeat in Wednesday night’s 3-3 UEFA Champions League draw at Benfica. But it’s not seen as too serious and likely won’t keep him out of Saturday’s game. However, the same cannot be said of Diogo Jota, who left for Salah.

The Portuguese attacker limped away after ramping up after 57 minutes and is a question for this weekend.

Klopp is the bad guy

Jurgen Klopp has acted like a player manager, always embracing his stars and rotating his squad to keep everyone happy.

However, there are times when he has annoyed his players which has caused some to dislike him for a brief moment, usually when someone is left out of the starting line-up. The Germany manager has said he doesn’t explain his reasons for his team selection and expects his players to deal with it.

Salah was left out of the starting XI against Benfica on Wednesday night.

Liverpool fan dies

A Liverpool fan has sadly passed away after falling ill ahead of Wednesday’s 3-3 draw with Benfica.

The supporter was in his 60s and was in the stands for Kenny Dalglish. However, the cause of death remains unclear Merseyside Police said in a statement: “There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.” “First and foremost, the condolences and thoughts of everyone at the club go to the family, loved ones and friends of the supporter,” a club spokesman said in a statement.

Liverpool drew 3-3 in the evening and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
