Jurgen Klopp has opened up about Erling Haaland’s impending move to Premier League title rivals Manchester City.

The Borussia Dortmund ace is set to join Pep Guardiola’s side this summer after the Etihad side triggered his £51million release clause. The signing will certainly give City a significant boost – but Klopp doesn’t seem excited.

It comes as the Roten Haalands are set to miss out on Dortmund team-mates Jude Bellingham after the England midfielder unveiled his plans for next season. And Jurgen Klopp’s earlier rant at FA Cup final referee Craig Pawson has been revisited.

Klopp on Haaland change

Jurgen Klopp is determined to focus on his own team despite Manchester City’s signing of superstar striker Erling Haaland.

The Norway international is set to rock at the Etihad this summer after agreeing to join Pep Guardiola’s side for a bargain £51million. He’s been linked with clubs from across Europe, including Liverpool, but Klopp isn’t disappointed to have missed the striker.

Recalling his own time at Dortmund, the Reds boss said he was just glad City didn’t strengthen themselves by signing a Liverpool star.

Bellingham blow

Liverpool target Jude Bellingham has insisted he will be at Dortmund next season.

The England international has been linked with a big-money summer move, although his club Borussia Dortmund are reportedly unwilling to part ways with the player in the same transfer window as Erling Haaland. The Reds had hoped to expand their midfield ranks this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to add new options in the middle of the park.

But Bellingham will almost certainly not arrive after insisting the ‘only future’ he can think of is with Dortmund.

Klopp’s referee scolds

Liverpool face a bad omen in Saturday’s FA Cup final against Chelsea as referee Craig Pawson is set to referee the game.

The Reds travel to Wembley with hopes of ending the season with a historic foursome still alive, despite trailing Manchester City in the Premier League title race. But to win the FA Cup on Saturday they will have to deal with a referee who previously left Klopp furious.

After Liverpool’s first defeat of the season in a 3-2 defeat by West Ham in November, Klopp took aim at Pawson and claimed he made a series of poor decisions – and they left the Reds manager seething.
