Liverpool have been warned that Chelsea are ‘ready to fight’ for the Carabao Cup when the two teams meet on Sunday.
The Blues head into the match having won the FIFA Club World Cup and winger Christian Pulisic has said his side will go into the final, ready to fight and working to win.
It is a cup competition where coach Jurgen Kopp has a mixed history, having previously complained about the demands the League Cup places on teams on the busy winter roster.
Meanwhile, former Reds player Philippe Coutinho has said he has no regrets about leaving the club in 2018 to join Spanish giants Barcelona.

Blues ‘ready to fight’
Chelsea into the Carabao Cup final on Sunday after losing in 2020 and 2021 FA Cup final.
Those defeats made the team determined not to lose at Wembley Stadium first Liverpool.
Winger Christian Pulisic has warned the Red Devils that his side will be ready to fight and work hard to win.
“It’s about honing, fighting and winning that one-off match. That’s what we’re going to do; hopefully we’ll get the job done this time around.”
Klopp’s Carabao Cup Complaints
Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp have an opposite relationship with the Carabao Cup.
Having reached the final this season, it gives the first team one of the few titles that have disqualified them under the German’s successful reign.
However, Klopp frequently complains about the arrangement of domestic matches.
“I think it would be better with a complete game, but obviously what I say is not so important,” declared Klopp after the Reds’ quarter-final victory over Leicester City.
Coutinho has no regrets
Former Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho is back Premier League with Aston Villa and run on the ground.
The loaned midfielder looks like the player who left Anfield for Spain years ago before struggling to fit in Barcelona.
Asked if he regretted leaving the Red Devils in 2018, Coutinho said it was a move he had to make.
“At that point I had a decision to make and I don’t regret it.”
