Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has criticized the treatment of Mohamed Salah during Egypt’s recent World Cup qualifier against Sadio Manes Senegal.
Salah was attacked with lasers during the penalty shootout of the game when Senegal defeated Egypt on penalties in the qualifying play-off. And Klopp has shown his displeasure at the shocking events his player endured as the tie reached its climax.
The Liverpool manager has given an unexpected Trent Alexander-Arnold injury update after the full-back suffered a hamstring injury ahead of the international break. And the Reds could be set for a £2.5million transfer boost thanks to one of them First League rivals.

The Reds could get a £2.5million boost
Liverpool could get £2.5million transfer boost thanks to former player
Nigeria international Taiwo Awoniyi left the Reds at the end of last season to join Union Berlin after a successful loan deal from the German club for around £6.5million. And since then, the forward has been in impressive form in the Bundesliga, scoring 11 goals in 24 games for his new side.
It has reportedly sparked interest in the player from a number of Premier League teams – and the Reds could benefit if one of them makes a move for the striker.
Unexpected damage boost
Trent Alexander-Arnold could be back in contention for a place in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team much sooner than expected after suffering a hamstring injury sustained during the international break.
The Liverpool man picked up a hamstring injury in the closing stages of Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Austria and had to leave the England squad. Fears have been raised that the Reds ace could be forced to sit out his side’s trip to the Crunch Premier League Manchester City Next weekend, the full-back could even be back on Saturday afternoon Watford.
Salah treatment struck
Jurgen Klopp said the treatment of Mohamed Salah during Egypt’s penalty shoot-out loss to Senegal in the World Cup qualifying play-off was not ‘cool’.
Salah had lasers in his eyes as he prepared to execute his penalty in the penalty shoot-out which Egpyt lost 3-1 to Senegal of Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane. And while Klopp said he was “really happy for Sadio” after his side qualified for the World Cup later that year, he was critical of the treatment of Salah by fans at the stadium, who hit him with lasers.
