Klopp gives injury update on Alexander-Arnold and Salah
Liverpool could face Premier League leaders Man City next month without key defender Trent Alexander-Arnold after injury arsenal could leave him on the sidelines for weeks.
When the two sides meet next month on April 10, the pair won’t have UEFA to worry about Champions League Attachment 48 hours later. Should that have been the case First League would have postponed the league game to a Saturday lunchtime kick-off to give both teams time to rest.
City manager Pep Guardiola has already started the mind games, telling Liverpool his side hold their own destiny in their hands.

Alexander-Arnold’s injury period
Liverpool will be without defender Trent Alexander-Arnold this weekend against Nottingham Forest FA Cup.
While there was no guarantee he would be picked against Championship opponents, the bigger fear is that the England international will miss next month’s crucial Premier League game against Man City. The Reds are currently a point behind City and the game at the Etihad Stadium could determine the league winner.
Alexander-Arnold picked up the hamstring injury in the Arsenal win and could be out for weeks.
City game confirmed
Trent Alexander-Arnold needs to be fit by April 10 to play against Man City after the Premier League scheduled Liverpool v City for Sunday afternoon.
The race for the Premier League has intensified in recent weeks as the Reds took advantage of City’s recent slip-ups to come within a point of the reigning champions. The two clash next month in what could be the title decider, meaning everything is up for grabs in Manchester.
The reason for the delay in match confirmation was the UEFA Champions League draw, which was made on Friday afternoon.
Guardiola’s Liverpool memory
Barring a Man City slip, Pep Guardiola’s side are set to host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium next month, at least a point clear at the top of the table.
The two sides meet in what is known as a Premier League cup final and it’s likely that the winner will lift the trophy in May. With the Manchester club in the driver’s seat, Guardiola sent his Liverpool counterpart a friendly reminder that his side were in control of the seismic collision.
“I don’t know if we will win, but fate is in our hands,” said Klopp on Friday.
