Klopp reacts after Liverpool reach Carabao Cup final

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has shared the club’s expectations for Luis Diaz ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final with Chelsea.

Ronaldo’s joke reminds change

A joke in the dressing room about Manchester United Striker Cristiano Ronaldo in 2019 prompted the tactical transformation of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

With Reds manager Klopp in need of an immediate addition to him, he turned to Sengelaese striker Sadio Mane.

Mane said: “They all laughed at me, but I said, ‘From today, call me Ronaldo or Firmino!'”

And the striker’s teammates all agreed to the new moniker – on one condition, and it prompted a major change from the Liverpool manager.

Klopp’s Oath

Jurgen Klopp swore ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Chelsea – that he would no longer be wearing a vest.

The Reds boss has arrived at Wembley in suits and boots twice in the past – in 2013 Champions League final against Dortmund and Liverpool’s 2016 Carabao Cup final against City of Manchester.

Klopp’s sides have lost on both occasions, although the Liverpool manager insists he will not wear a shirt on Sunday out of superstition.

Speaking ahead of the final, Klopp promised he wouldn’t wear “swim shorts” – but he wouldn’t be seen in a suit either.

Diaz’s Expectations

Liverpool have high expectations for Colombian winger Luis Diaz after his arrival at Anfield in January, Roberto Firmino has revealed.

Diaz has impressed for his new side after his move from FC Porto in January, when he scored his first Red Devils goal last weekend against Norwich City in front of the home side’s backing. Anfield.
