Ronaldo sends thanks

Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has personally thanked the Liverpool fans who paid tribute to his son during Tuesday night’s game at Anfield.

Ronaldo and partner Georgina Rodriguez were expecting twins, a boy and a girl, but they shared the tragic news on Monday that their son died shortly after birth. Reds fans joined in a planned applause in honor of the United ace’s shirt number in the seventh minute and broke out into an impromptu chorus of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” to pay their respects to the kid in a touching moment Anfield.

And Ronaldo has now sent a message to the fans who attended the ceremony as he conveyed his thanks.

Klopp’s concerns turned out to be correct

Sir Alex Ferguson’s concerns about Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp acquisition have been proven correct – five years after he voiced them.

United legend Jamie Carragher reportedly said in 2017 the Reds had “a manager” after appointing Klopp and admitted he was “concerned”. After Liverpool defeated Ferguson’s old side 4-0 on Tuesday night following a 5-0 win at Old Trafford earlier this season, Sir Alex’s worries appear to have been proven right.

Liverpool know that two signings they are targeting this summer could represent the perfect alternative to Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian striker appears ready to sign for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City as Liverpool’s Premier League rivals could finally land the high-profile centre-forward they are craving. But Liverpool are also preparing for a busy summer as they seek to tie star strikers Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to new contracts, both of which expire at the end of next season.
