Alisson insists Liverpool “really want to win” the FA Cup and complete a whole host of honors for Jurgen Klopp’s legendary team.
The Reds have won the Premier League, Champions League, EFL Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup since the German’s appointment in October 2015. The FA Cup is the only major trophy they have not won (which they are still entitled to). compete in).
Victory in Saturday’s final against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium would also keep Liverpool’s quadruple bid alive. They have already won the EFL Cup – in February’s final against the Blues – and will face Real Madrid in the Champions League final later this month.
Liverpool are currently second in the Premier League, level on points with leaders Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s side can take a three-point lead at the top of the table with a win against Wolves in Molineux on Wednesday night.
Although the Reds have many reasons to win the FA Cup, Chelsea will also be motivated to win the oldest active competition in football history. The Blues have lost both of their last two finals, suffering narrow defeats to Arsenal and Leicester.
Liverpool are the favorites for the draw. They’ve lost just one of their 31 games in all competitions this calendar year – a 1-0 home loss to Inter Milan in the Champions League – but they still won that European Cup fixture 2-1 on aggregate.

Chelsea have been struggling lately. Thomas Tuchel’s side have won just one of their last five Premier League games. They are third in the table, five points clear of Tottenham with three games to go. They meet Leeds at Elland Road on Wednesday night.
Speaking to Liverpool’s website ahead of Saturday’s final, Alisson insisted he is “really looking forward to the game”. “This is my first FA Cup final and a trophy this group has yet to win,” added the Brazilian goalkeeper, who joined the club in the summer of 2018.
“But we really want to win this title. That’s what we set out to do at the start of the season and now we’re here. We have a huge chance to win that and we’re going to try 100 percent to do that.”
Liverpool have just four games left this season, all of which take place over the next 17 days. It’s been a relentless campaign for Klopp’s side, who will ultimately have played 63 competitive games – and fulfilled every game they’re offered.
“Sometimes when you’re tired you just have to get it in your head that there’s something more you can do,” Alisson said when asked about the schedule. “And when you go with passion and do everything you can, you usually see that you have a little bit of energy.
“Even if you look at the players on his side, they play with intensity. Our team is a team that has to play with passion because when we look at each other it’s something that helps you and gives you extra energy.”
