Neighbors recalled being dragged out of bed by a screaming woman this morning as she was gunned down in the street.
Armed officers stormed a street in Lewisham, south London, at 3.11am on Saturday after receiving reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, they found a woman in her late teens who had sustained a gunshot wound to the arm.
Paramedics took the victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening or life-changing injuries. MyLondon reports.
Locals were terrified after the incident, with one recalling hearing “gunshots” and “screams and screams” as they returned from a night shift.

They told MyLondon: “I came home from work early in the morning around 3am. I heard shots and screams and screams.
“I looked out the window and saw people running and screaming. It was about five shots that I heard.”
A second resident, Ryan Whitaker, 36, said: “I was woken up by the shooting as I live on one of the streets off Lewisham Way.
“I was sleeping and it woke me up. About five shots were fired, then a girl let out a loud scream.”

Police have closed a section of Lewisham Way in both directions between Friendly Street and Tanners Hill as they set up a crime scene.
A number of cartridge cases were recovered and sent for specialist analysis.
That metropolitan police said investigation is ongoing but no arrests have been made at this early stage.

Forensic scientists have placed cones numbered 1-16 in some places where they collect evidence.

All surrounding vehicles have been removed from the cordoned off area.
There are several police cars and officers patrolling the cordons, and special officers from Trident, a specialist unit within the Metropolitan Police that aims to combat gang crime across the capital, are also present.
