Locals slam “brazen” naked dog walkers as they say naked exercise is “not right.”

A middle-aged man was spotted walking his dog in Colwick Woods, Nottinghamshire, with locals divided on whether it was a harmless habit or something more “inappropriate”.

Local residents are divided after the sighting of a naked dog walker in the area.

A middle-aged man was reportedly seen walking his dog in Colwick Woods, Nottinghamshire, according to video seen by Nottinghamshire Live.

The video is said to have been taken on May 13, as some residents say they are not bothered by the naked man.

Others have raised concerns that he’s running around when kids are playing.

Rowan Hall, 27, said: “He’s just walking around – he’s walking his dog.

“I’ve seen him a couple of times. It doesn’t really bother me, but there are just a lot of kids. It’s like a tourist attraction, everyone who sees it films it.”

Wendy Murdock, 57, is a quality supervisor at a financial firm and said it was a known incident.

She said: “It was just a bit of a bugbear for a while, the main thing is that it’s been a long time and a lot of people would never see it.

“He was out very early in the morning, lately he’s becoming more prominent with it. He’s started going out all the time. He just seems to be getting bolder about it.

“I’m not a prude; it’s a nature reserve, not a nudist reserve. I confronted him once and haven’t since, I don’t want an argument, it all just seems to be his right and what he wants – not considering other people, it doesn’t seem fair. He seems to be there at 4 a.m., there are a lot of kids around. It just doesn’t seem right to me. It just seems wrong.”

Wendy’s husband, Lez Murdock, 56, said he thinks it puts people off coming to the area.

He added: “It’s pretty bad, now he’s going to where the park is, the children’s park, and coming all the way around.

“It keeps kids from coming out. He’ll come out in the afternoon when the kids get home from school, you have kids in the park. He has started bringing a dog, I think he got it this year. Isn’t it beautiful – I think it’s wrong.”

Another resident, Sean Joseph, 26, has seen him more than once.

He said: “It’s just not appropriate when there are kids around and stuff like that. It’s right next to the school, obviously there’s a park there and people take their dogs with the kids and stuff. It’s not right, is it?

“I don’t know what he’s up to, it’s just weird. It’s uneasy because kids and things like that just aren’t right. It’s not something you want in your area either.”
