Longtime employees are ‘upset’ as Blackrock Clinic confirms it is reviewing its pension system

The Blackrock Clinic in Dublin has confirmed it is reviewing the future of its defined benefit pension scheme, which could affect around 170 long-serving staff.

A spokeswoman for the clinic, which is majority-owned by businessman Larry Goodman, said: “Like many companies with a performance-based system, the Blackrock Clinic is reviewing this system and will discuss any proposed changes with members of the system as appropriate. No changes have been made to his scheme recently.”
