Loose women: Linda Robson wears a brown wig

Linda Robson left her Loose Women co-stars in shock after she revealed her ‘new’ locks on Thursday’s season of ITV’s hit daytime show.

During a segment of the show, in which the women discussed the change of hairstyles – using panelists like Frankie Bridge, Charlene White and Kelle Bryan as examples – they joked that it was impossible to graft one montage of Linda, who always looks the same.

Since the 64-year-old gained international fame for his role as Tracey on the classic BBC sitcom Birds of a Feather, Linda has been known for her signature shoulder-length blonde hair.

However, stepping out of the set, Linda appeared in a brown wig, much to the surprise of her colleagues.

“How do you feel? Charlene asked smiling.

“Hate!” Linda replied.

“I hate it because I just think that as you get older you need to get lighter, not darker. When you’re 64, this isn’t good for you!

“It suits some women, but it doesn’t work for me. I had to dye it once to go out and every time I look in the mirror, I’m like ‘God.’ I look horrible!”

Meanwhile, fans took to social media to defend the ‘new look’, with one Twitter user writing: “God, leave Linda Robson alone. So what if she wears that hairstyle for 60 years? five if she’s happy.”

Another added: “I think it’s great that she found her style so early!”

Meanwhile, after the show, Charlene found herself in the spotlight after suggesting Love Island could be ‘educational’ for children.

The presenter, 42, said her friends used the dating program to teach their kids about online safety.

While discussing the dangers of the Internet, she said: “I have friends who watch it [Love Island] together as a family because there are some situations that come up, such as being sarcastic or blaming someone for their own misbehavior…

“There are stories that happen on Love Island that if you’re watching it with your family, they can talk about why something is wrong or right.”

However, viewers were quick to criticize, with one online exclaiming: “I’m really sorry, maybe I’ve aged, but who watches something like #LoveIsland with their children? There are other ways to have those conversations. ”

Another scoffed: “Yes, Love Island – that great moral code.”

While the third viewer was shocked: “WTF. Love Island. The most toxic porn shows. Shameful.”
