Loose women: Carol’s husband ‘visibly flinched’ after her facelift

Permissive women Star Carol McGiffin has admitted she regrets sharing her sex life with her ITV co-star.

The TV presenter, 62, says she once told her Loose Women friend Kaye Adams that she hadn’t had sex in seven years – a personal confession she made off-screen.

But during a live on-air discussion, Carol claims her co-star shared her lack of bedroom action with viewers at home.

And while Carol didn’t shy away from the discussion, she said she wishes she hadn’t told her co-star.

She said: “Coming back to Loose Women, I think I probably wish I hadn’t told Kaye Adams that I haven’t had sex in seven years.

“That was way before Mark (her now husband)”

She continued, “Kaye said it on the air. In a way, it wasn’t a viral moment, but it became a thing.”

Carol opened up about the omission while speaking with Kate Thornton about the abandonment culture and the people who are easily offended.

Kate explained, “It became a thing because when you started dating Mark, people literally thought about street parties because she was open again for business.”

She added: “It was such a big deal. Maybe we should have a party because Carol had sex.”

Carol also discussed the reasons for her lack of libido on the On White Wine Question Time podcast, where she said it’s partly beneficial to have garnered that level of attention.

She explained that her “mojo” faded after her mother’s death in 2003, and seven years later she still had no self-esteem.

However, she went on to date her husband, Mark Cassidy.

Kaye Adams reportedly shared Carol’s “seven years of no sex” with viewers

Carol described how she fell into “a deep sorrow” at the time, and how those experiences overwhelmed her “emotional toolkit.”

Kate told Carol she admired her for speaking out about the importance of remembering that it’s okay to be single.

But despite the on-screen over-sharing, Carol claims the co-stars forged an “unlikely friendship” by working together on the ITV talk show.

Carol explained, “We’re completely opposites on almost everything and it’s weird that I see her as a friend.”

And she says some of her biggest arguments have been with Kaye, as they “see the world differently” with their own opinions.

Kate rounded off the topic, adding, “But that’s ok, it doesn’t mean you can’t be friends.”
