Singer Jane McDonald is keeping busy and in good spirits as she films a new TV show, just over a year after the tragic death of her fiancé.
The 59-year-old star lost partner Ed Rothe to lung cancer at the end of March last year at the age of 67 and later burst into tears on Loose Women while speaking of their lost love.
But in a series of pictures on her Instagram, Jane seems determined to live life to the fullest as she films her latest travel series.
In one picture, The Cruise star smiles while wearing sunglasses and a strapless cream dress as she sits in front of some film equipment on the beach.
In an accompanying caption, she wrote, “I had an absolutely amazing time filming my latest travel show. I can’t wait to embark on my next trip to the beautiful Greek island of Rhodes at the end of April!”
Another picture shows the star in a sunny location, wearing turquoise pants and a colorful top.
Jane wrote: “Have a great birthday today – we’re still not filming. Thank you for all the lovely messages!”
In another picture, she’s lolling in shorts and a blue top on a boat with the sea in the background.

In a caption below the snap, she said, “Not quite a cruise ship but enjoying some time at sea!”
Jane and Eddie, who were a member of The Searchers, began dating in 2008, more than 20 years after they met.
The lovebirds first dated for a few months in 1980 when Jane was just 17 years old.
They then got back together in 2008 and got engaged after Eddie proposed on Christmas Eve of that year.
In the spring of last year, Jane announced he had died in March after being diagnosed with lung cancer and battling the disease for months.

In November, she returned to Loose Women, where she was a panelist for many years, to speak about her loss.
She broke down in tears within a second after her loving ladies from Loose Women welcomed her back.
Viewers were treated to a tearful montage of memories of Eddie while Jane watched with tears in her eyes.
In her first interview since his death, Jane broke down on screen as she gushed about Eddie’s “beautiful nature.”
Jane held tissues to her face and sobbed as she apologized to Loose Women viewers for breaking down in tears.
“I am so sorry. I am so sorry. I didn’t want to be like that,” Jane sobbed.
“I don’t want to be sad for the rest of my life.”
After she recovered, the grieving star expressed her love for her late fiancé, describing him as “golden” and “handsome”.
“Ed was golden. He was so happy and so beautiful.
“It’s my first interview since he passed and I’m so glad and so grateful it’s with you ladies,” added Jane.
