Loose Women’s Jane Moore was forced to apologize in the middle of Wednesday’s season of the daytime show, after Brian Cox was sworn in on live television.
Powerful actors appear on ITV studio to discuss his memoir Putting the Rabbit in the Hat, which is being released with a new addendum.
The book chronicles the actor’s journey from humble beginnings in Dundee Scotland to becoming a Hollywood star thanks to his Emmy-nominated performance in the hit TV series Succession.
Sitting between Jane Moore, Katie Piper, Janet Street-Porter and Linda Robson, The Successor star went on to chat about the hit HBO show and his sworn media mogul Logan Roy.
Host Jane asked the 75-year-old whether the fictional CEO of media conglomerate Waystar Royco was the closest character to his personality.
Brian replied, “I wouldn’t say that. I sympathize with Logan Roy. I think he misunderstood a bit. He is a self-made man.
“He can start on one side of the political spectrum and end up on the other side through experience and frustration.”
He added: “One thing we share in common is frustration with human testing. We believe that. Look at the current crisis we live in.”
He then audaciously added: “I can’t believe we’re still the same, sorry, we’ve been so time and time again. We are repeating. ”
Host Jane Moore then interrupted the actor and turned to the camera to apologize.
“This is daytime television. Sorry. ” She then added with a smug smile, “Mr. Cox is going to wash his mouth after recess.
Brian replied, “Sorry – at least I didn’t say the ‘f’ word,” before Janet turned the conversation back to HBO’s Succession.
She asked, “I was going to say, do you swear as much as your screen character?”
Brian smiled and replied, “Now I do. I never did, but now I do. It is completely contagious. “
The star appeared on ITV to discuss his new autobiography, Putting the Rabbit in the Hat, which will be released in January.
The interview started with Brian sharing with the hosts of This Morning Holly Willoughby and Phillip how important it was for him to stay true to himself when he wrote his book.
And when sharing how to write from the heart, he revealed how at 75, he won’t “worry too much” about putting everything down on the page.
Loose Women airs at 12:30 a.m. weekdays on ITV
