Lost Ark update fixes some bugs, CM responds to community questions about April-May roadmap

This weeks Lost Ark The update focused on a few fixes and the community had some questions about Honing Bonuses and the new Power Pass announced with the April-May Roadmap.

The update notes are brief, with attention to a major quest issue, the incorrect organization of Metallurgy and Tailoring books, and a bug that allowed “unintentional characters” in chat. The Metallurgy books were incorrectly placed in Tier 3 when attempting to trade them with Mio, the Winter Illusion vendor. The Rapport quest for Ealyn, “Time to Heal”, was buggy preventing players from loading into Ancient Elveria. All of this has been fixed in the update.

The community also provided feedback on the recently released (and previously delayed) content roadmap for April and May. Some have expressed concern that no specific new honing-related buffs have been announced. Community Manager Roxx answerednoting that the team will focus on balance first, to see if the right levels can be reached in the game, before moving on to throwing bonuses at the (potential) problem when it doesn’t land:

“A specific buff isn’t currently planned as we continue to work to balance the system with mats and resources, but we’re still monitoring the data and further adjustments aren’t entirely off the table.” If this is adjusted a bit further, it will happen in a patch and wasn’t part of the content roadmap as it’s not planned to be specifically tied to any of our content updates, and is more of a “life situation” instead.

Some also looked at the announcement of the Feiton Power Pass, which allows players to get level 960 gear for one character. Questions arose as to whether this would be a cash shop item, and concerns as to whether it would be pay-to-win if it was. Yes, CM Roxx things settled and said that this will be free and players can earn it in-game.
