Lost Ark update opens express mission changes, expands events and makes changes to combat botting

This weeks Lost Ark Update makes a few changes designed to help players master the various progression events that have been added recently. The update also follows the recently announced change to the Express Missions event, which allows you to swap characters once.

Since Lost Ark lLaunched in the West, Amazon and Smilegate RPG have worked together to address the challenges players may face in this version compared to the original release. The companies have worked together in their partnership to help players along their progression path, and recent additions and tweaks reflect that.

The Express Mission Event changes in this update will allow you to swap out the character you use in this event only once, and only if your character has not used the received enhancement bonuses to upgrade to T1 or T2 gear to enhance. So if you have a level 50 character with less than 1100 item level that qualifies, you can make the switch now. The update also adjusts the engravings so that they are all available in the reward chests. Any ones you’ve claimed but not opened now retrospectively grant potential access to all Engravings.

The end of the Express Mission event has also been extended to July 28th, but you still need to select a character or switch to a new one before June 30th.

Today’s update also extends the Casual Guardian Raid event to May 19th, bringing this event close to the May update. This change also affects the expiry date for items you receive through the event. The rewards table has also been updated, removing gem chests to combat bot farming and other items added to the pool. Another change to prevent bot farming in this update affects early world and stronghold quest rewards by removing gold and replacing it with new rewards.
