The EuroMillions raffle drawing guaranteed that 100 EuroMillions players from all nine participating countries would each win one of the €1 million prizes.

A Donegal winner purchased their winning quick pick ticket on the day of the drawing.

The life changing ticket was purchased from the Burnfoot Service Station at Grianan Vale in Co Donegal.

Shopkeeper Mary Tourish has run the local family shop since 2007 and was shocked when she received a call that her shop had sold the winning ticket.

She said: “To be honest I’m still shaking, I just can’t believe it.

“To believe that one of our customers is around 1 million euros richer is simply unreal!

“You start thinking about what such a crowd can do for people and I mean it would really change your life.

“We are the main business in a very small village, I mean you couldn’t be more local if you tried.

“Because we’re so small, you’d never really think we’d sell one of the big winning tickets.

“You would imagine it would be one of the bigger stores so it’s just fantastic for us, it means everything.

“January and February can be a really tough time for retailers but something like this creates such excitement and gives us a real boost.

“I won’t close my eyes for the next few days, I’m totally crazy.”

MEATH MILLIONAIRE

In Meath, another player bought his seven-figure Quick Pick ticket at a centra in the small village of Nobber.

Shopkeeper Rodey Dolan said: “What a call to be on a bank holiday it’s just brilliant news.

“I really hope it’s someone local, this is wild money to win locally.

“I have been running the shop for 15 years and we are a busy hub in the community employing 21 people from the village.

“I’m looking forward to the flood of customers checking their tickets over the next few days.

“WHO WINS IT?”

“The big question, of course, will be who won?

“We wish them the best of luck and hope Nobber has a new local millionaire!”

The third ticket, worth €1 million, was won by a player from Dublin who bought his ticket online.

Lotto bosses have confirmed they are still waiting for the three winners of Friday 3rd February’s EuroMillions raffle prize to be contacted.

The Irish winning codes from the EuroMillions draw were:

  • I-NTZ-21276 (Online Dublin)
  • I-NVD-35065 (Donegal)
  • I-NVF-65558 (meat)

The National Lottery has advised all EuroMillions players in these territories to check their tickets carefully.
