The Rebel County National Lottery player got his year off to a great start by winning the grand prize in Millionaire raffle ticket number 219908.

Five other players, one in Carlow, three in Dublin and another in Kilkenny, are also celebrating today after winning the other top prizes of €100,000 in the Millionaire Raffle New Year’s Eve draw.

The winning locations for the five €100,000 prizes from last night’s Millionaire Raffle were announced at Raths Supermarket, Pollerton Road, Carlow, Tuthills, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Dublin, XL Dundrum, Dublin 14, Dunnes Stores, The Square, Tallaght, Dublin, sold 24, with the lucky player in Co Kilkenny having bought his ticket online.

With over 6,000 players having won prizes ranging from €500 to €1 million in last night’s drawing, the National Lottery is urging ticket holders to check their raffle numbers to see if they started 2023 with a win.

Players are advised to check their tickets on www.lottery.ie or in the National Lottery App.

A spokesman for the National Lottery said: “We are appealing to all our players who had a ticket for last night’s Millionaires draw on New Year’s Eve to carefully review their tickets today.

“If you were one of the night’s biggest winners, winning the €1M and €100,000 prizes, sign the back of your ticket and contact the National Lottery Claims Team on 1800 666 222 or send an E -Mail Claims@lottery.ie and arrange something to be done to ensure the prize is paid out.

“And of course the Cork, Carlow, Dublin and Kilkenny players weren’t last night’s only winners.

“We saw over 6,000 other players greet the new year with good fortune.

“All ticket holders are encouraged to review their tickets as they will see the full list of winning ticket numbers.”
