JP Hurley picked up a black card that left Wicklow at 14 for a period on either side of half-time, but the home side stayed in touch after the restart before points from Liam Jackson, Mulroy and Conall McKeever put Louth to a six-point lead with 15 assisted minutes to play.
Wicklow came back on two points when Kevin Quinn sunk the Louth defense from a quick free-kick, but Harte’s men kept their composure and a late Tom Jackson goal secured a trip to Croke Park to face Limerick next weekend.
