As for what we can expect this year, bosses are up to date on the format – but there will be plenty of drama head when Love Island airs its usual 9pm slot every day on ITV2.

A recap episode will air every Saturday, and after the Sunday episode, Laura will present spin-off show Aftersun, while a celebrity panel joins her to comment on the latest drama from the mansion, and the axed islanders will be there to share their Page to tell story!

And yes, we can’t wait to see this crowd at the villa!

Paige Dorn, 24

Love Island have confirmed their first contestant, Paige, a paramedic from Swansea, Wales.

Discussing why she’s joining the show, she said: “There’s just nobody in Swansea that I can find, I’ve tried and there’s just nobody there anymore. I need to break out and broaden my horizons and Love Island just brings everyone together for me. I don’t have to go out and I don’t have to mop. So, hopefully you can just come to me now!”

She describes herself as “upbeat and bubbly”. She also says she’s “pretty motherly” and a good cook, confident TV chef Gordon Ramsay would give her a nine or ten out of ten.

Damian Hope, 26

Irish hunk Dami is the latest Islander to be announced. He is a senior microbiologist from Dublin, Ireland.

“This year I’ve been more open to new things and I think that’s actually why I set out to get new experiences. Love Island is a different experience, I’ll be talking to different girls, it might not go well with some, it might work well with others, so it’s a fun experience,” he said ahead of his stint.

The Mirror exclusively revealed that Dami was one of the contestants and he describes himself as “very passionate”.

“If they had something they wanted to do or were passionate about, I would make sure that even if it was something I wasn’t talented at, I would make myself talented just so it would help them. I’m really good at being in a team and really caring about each other,” he said.

India Polack, 23

Indiyah has been announced as the third islander for this year’s series. She is a hotel waitress who hails from London.

She’s joined Love Island as she’s ready to ‘get dating right’.

Speaking on the ITV2 show, she said: “I feel like I’m at a stage in my life now where I’m ready to meet new people and really start dating. I’ve been single for a while and feel like my generation of people, it’s quite difficult to go on dates without the influence of social media and the like. Love Island in particular is like a closed space and I think it’s a great place to meet someone face-to-face and develop a real connection.”

However, Indiyah admits she doesn’t have a type as “everyone she’s dated was very different.”

Who will catch the eye of Indiyah this year?

Liam Llewellyn, 22

Masters student Liam Llewellyn is hoping to find love this summer. Hailing from Newport, South Wales, he is studying strength and conditioning at university and is ready to find love now that he is 22 years old.

“I think 22 is a really nice age to meet someone, you’ve got your years ahead of you so you have time to experience things and grow together. I think Love Island is a great opportunity to meet someone who you’re with, a lot of different guys so you can deal with what you really like about people,” he said.

And he hopes to win the girls over with compliments — telling them they’re gorgeous or “have nice feet.”

When asked how he would impress someone, he said: “Compliment them! What girls really like is that I don’t just say, ‘You’re great.’ I say, ‘Your eyes are piercing, I’m lost in your eyes.’ Or I’ll say something like, ‘You have nice feet’ or something.”

Tasha Ghouri, 23

Tasha is a model and dancer from Thirsk in Yorkshire. She promises to bring some “savagery” to the villa but describes dating as a “mess” for her. She has a cochlear implant and says she’s regularly called “inspirational” for being open about her hearing.

When asked how her family and friends would describe her, she said, “They would definitely describe me as wild. I can get very wild in a night, I’m definitely a party animal. I love my Prosecco and I love to dance – I’m always on the dance floor.

“I am very loyal to my friends and family, I will always have their back. I’m the type of person who puts others before me. They would definitely say I’m a nap queen – I love napping!”

Tasha has teased that she could be the one to cause a stir at the villa this year, as she said she’s not afraid to put a man on her feet in this series – but she has promised to “make it happen”. the nicest way” to do.

Davide Sanclimenti, 27

Davide Sanclimenti, who describes himself as an Italian stallion, hails from Rome, Italy but lives in Manchester.

“I think Love Island is going to be so much fun. I’ll be the Italian stallion in the villa!” he said.

Davide hopes his Italian charm will help him find his spouse on the show, and he’s desperate to find his ‘soulmate’ with whom he can settle down and one day start a family too.

“With my Italian charm, I can also be a very romantic guy. I’m good looking and I’ve found that a lot of English girls really love me since I arrived in Manchester. They love being around me and I love being with them. It will be fun, I’m looking forward to it. I want to find my soul mate, find my person so I can actually build something in the future, grow with them, be a family.

Gemma Owen, 19

Gemma is the latest contestant to be confirmed for the show. Based in Chester, Northern England, she is an international dressage rider and business owner.

Her father is English footballer Michael Owen, and she is also a sports enthusiast.

“I’ve competed in dressage for Great Britain since I was 11 years old. I’ve traveled all over Europe and competed in big arenas in big competitions. I would say I’m very competitive. [When it comes to relationships] I will always do what I want,” she said.

“But at the same time, I’m not going to screw up someone who’s in a real relationship or stand in the way of a couple if they have a real connection. I wouldn’t do anything to another girl that I wouldn’t be happy if they did to me.”

Ikenna Ekwonna, 23

Ikenna Ekwonna is a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist based in Nottingham.

When asked what he will bring to the villa this summer, he said: “Hopefully I’ll bring spontaneity and excitement. I’m not really shy about talking to people and I don’t really care what people think.”

He recalled surprising one of his ex-boyfriends with a four-day stay in Barcelona – but he admits it was quite a lavish gift at the age of 19 and he feels he spent far too much on it.

“I took my ex on vacation for her birthday. We went to Barcelona for four nights and I was quite young at the time, maybe around 19-20. It was for her birthday so she didn’t know about it. It was quite a lot of money to spend at this age,” he shared.

Will Ikenna find love this summer?

Andrew LePage, 27

International real estate agent Andrew Le Page from Guernsey was confirmed as the ninth Love Islander.

He describes himself as a “good friend” and says now is the right time to get on the show as he’s rarely single.

“When I’m with someone I’m very loyal, I’m a good friend because when I’m with someone I’m everything to them,” asking why he should join the ITV2 show now, he added added: “Because I’m actually single for once, so I thought, why not? This is the best time to try.”

Amber Beckford, 24

Amber Beckford is a 24 year old nanny from London.

But let’s hope the boys don’t try to show off too much in front of her as she called it a huge “ick” for them.

She added: “I don’t like guys who show off. I don’t like flashy, flashy guys – just have a personality and make me laugh. There was this one guy and he was trying to show his car on purpose. “Keys and we were literally in the middle of a restaurant!”

While calling herself patient, she also admits she’s “headstrong,” sharing ahead of the show, “Because I work with kids, I’m patient with kids, but with adults, they annoy me!”

Luca Bisch, 23

Fishmonger Luca Bish spends his days working in Brighton.

But this summer he’s swapping the south coast for sunny, hot Mallorca, where he’s hoping to find his true love – and he thinks he has a good chance as Love Island has forged many long-lasting relationships.

“If you actually look back at Love Island, you can see how many couples it’s really made. I don’t know how many kids Love Island has made, but are there a few that aren’t there?” he shared.

*Love Island begins Monday 6 June at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available on BritBox the next morning.
