Love Island bosses are said to have extended the run to ensure the show’s return is as gripping and captivating as ever.

The ITV2 line, which kicks off early next month, is said to return with a huge gym and workout area – perfect for working up a sweat.

The makers are said to be hoping the new feature will lead to more relationships, as single islanders will be able to monitor their love interest from a distance.

An insider revealed to Sun : “Viewers love all the muscle-packed scenes and sexy squats.

“Manufacturers now hope that more space for couples to work out will lead to more bonding as testosterone circulates.”

This comes as rumors continue to swirl around who will enter the mansion this year.

Among the reported teams is basketball star Jordan Spencer, who is 6ft 2ins tall.

The towering giants, who once played for the London Lions, are said to be currently in talks with the bosses.

The 27-year-old, who studied at Augustana University in South Dakota before graduating in 2018, regularly shares topless photos and action shots on his personal page.

A source said Sun : “It’s still too early to say if Jordan will be in the final squad but the bosses are very interested.

“He’s in talks to appear on Love Island and has even met with some of the producers who are working on the key cast list.”

A Love Island spokesperson said: “Any names suggested are purely speculative at this stage.”

It comes after it was reported that producers were also lining up Turkish beauty Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu to appear in this year’s series.

The influencer, who splits her time between London and Istanbul, already has a host of celebrity fans among her 345,000 Instagram followers, including Pete Wicks and The Only’s James Lock Way Is Essex.

Her followers also include the likes of Wayne Lineker, and Piers Morgan’s son, Spencer.

The stunning star, who previously appeared in the TV series Kuzey Yildiz in her hometown, looks set to step into the mansion in Majorca.

When approached by The Mirror, an ITV2 spokesperson said: “It’s too early to confirm a schedule for the show.”

Back in February, ITV confirmed that this year’s Love Island series would be filmed in a ‘brand new mansion’.

An official statement read: “The last summer of love is on the horizon as Love Island’s long-awaited return, live from a brand new mansion in Mallorca. The app is now open. for singles looking for a hot, long summer…”
