ITV bosses have confirmed that the eighth series of the popular ITV2 show will premiere on Monday, June 6.

An announcement from the show’s official Twitter account read: “This is your first hot date of the summer Love Island is back Monday, June 6 on ITV2 and ITV Hub!”

That means we’re just a few days away from being able to meet singles looking for the latest love and people who want to be influencers.

The trailer for the 2022 edition was revealed on Britain’s Got Talent last week and pokes fun at rival shows Too Hot To Handle and Love Is Blind.

“This summer love isn’t blind, it’s neon lights and we can cool the heat. We’ve got a mate in a fire pit. Love is we own it.”

The new mansion has been taking shape in recent weeks, with workers busy preparing the building for its unveiling on June 6.

It looks like the new piece could see some classic Love Island elements added to the villa, with photos showing construction of a modern terrace in progress.

In addition to the new setting, Love Island’s bosses also recently announced that they’ll be ditching fast fashion for the eighth series in favor of being more eco-friendly.
