Love Island star Gemma Owen has set herself one goal – to become a billionaire like Kylie Jenner.

The daughter of former England striker Michael Owen has big plans and is inspired by Kylie’s family reality TV show Kardashians.

Gemma, who competes in international dress code, is on the Spanish island of Majorca, where the ITV dating show will begin tomorrow.

She has her eyes on the future and says, “I would love to continue the business I just started. It’s called OG Beachwear. I will be wearing a few pieces in the villa, which is a small collection at the moment.

“I really like the Kardashians, I watch them on TV and I follow them on social media.

“I think they’re both powerful, good businesswomen, what they’ve done for me is really inspiring, I’m a huge fan. Who doesn’t love being a billionaire like Kylie? ”

Like the Kardashians, Gemma comes from a wealthy family with her father Michael, 42 – a former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Man United star – with an estimated worth of around £54 million.

In March 2019, Forbes named Kylie, now 24, the youngest self-made billionaire in the world. The magazine valued her company, Kylie Cosmetics, at more than $900 million.

Cheshire lass Gemma was approached on several occasions to go to Love Island – and agreed after a lower start to the riding season.

She explains: “The summer months are the most important months for me to dress, so the thought of leaving those two months off was not an option and I prioritized riding.

“But my season hasn’t had a great start this year, so I think this season will be the best.”

Michael Owen with his daughter Gemma

On Friday, Michael told the Mirror that his daughter signed up for the hit TV show “probably a father’s worst nightmare”. But he said that he and his wife Louise are supporting their girl 100%. “I have no doubt she would make all of us proud,” he said. It’s probably a father’s worst nightmare, but whatever she wants to do, you have to support it. I think old, grumpy men like me will always have an opinion on it because I don’t watch it and you only listen to excerpts. But she assured me it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

“So we’re going to give her a watch and I hope she likes herself.”

Michael, who is also the father of James, 16, Emily, 15, and Jessica, 11, said Gemma is a reasonable girl and added: “I think I gave her a good enough foundation to be in. respect.” Gemma said this week she will avoid disrespecting or embarrassing her family on the show.
