Love Island stars Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury welcome their first child

Love Island stars Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have welcomed their first child.

The couple announced the news on Instagram with a black and white photo of them lying on a hospital bed while Fury, 23, cradles the newborn in his arms and Hague, also 23, hugs her partner.

The post was captioned “01/23/23” with a white heart emoji.

A gender reveal video previously showed Fury popping a balloon to reveal pink confetti, suggesting the duo was expecting a baby girl.

Hague also shared a photo of Fury sleeping with the baby on his chest and another of her cradling the baby on her Instagram story.

She captioned the post: “One week old today. I can’t believe we get to keep you forever.

“Becoming your mother was the best thing that ever happened to me… it seems impossible but my love for you grows with every moment that passes.

“There’s no feeling holding you in my arms, little one, my heart just explodes.

“Thank you for entering this world safely for us and blessing us with the gift of being your parents. We promise to love and care for you forever.”

Hague and Fury met during series five of ITV’s hit dating show and finished second to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea.

Competitors from Love Island were among those who offered their congratulations.

Maura Higgins, who was in the same season as the couple, wrote: “So so so proud of you she is so perfect.”

Series 7 winner Millie Court said: “Congratulations to you both!!!” while Series 4 contestant Zara McDermott added: “Sobbing, congratulations you beautiful people. You deserve all the happiness. Excited for you and this new chapter.”

Hague kept her 6.9million Instagram followers updated throughout her pregnancy after announcing she was pregnant last September.

The couple had unveiled the news with a video featuring a clip of Hague saying from her graduation speech on Love Island in 2019: “I can’t wait for the adventures we haven’t even dreamed of”.

The video then cuts to the couple holding Hague’s baby bump and hugging.

The pair have gone on to successful careers following their stint on the show, with Hague becoming creative director at fashion brand PrettyLittleThing.

Fury, the half-brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has continued his professional boxing career.
