Love Island: Millie and Liam announced as 2021 winners

The reigning Love Island champion, Liam Reardon, has announced that he will happily return to the mansion and redo things – even though he is in a happy relationship with girlfriend Millie Court.

The 22-year-old Welshman was crowned the winner of Love Island’s seventh season last summer alongside 25-year-old Millie.

The couple have been trying to maintain their relationship since the moment they joined the show and even live together in the luxury home in Essex – moving into the same house last November.

But Liam has hinted that he will happily throw away all that success for another chance to enter the Love Island mansion and flirt with a new bunch of bombshell women.

However, Liam’s girlfriend is excited about the new series as she has also marked the start of Love Island 2022 through her own Instagram Story.

She shared a snap of a contestant named Amber Beckford – a 24-year-old nanny from London – and wrote: “Eeeeek!!!! It’s happening” along with the tongue out face emoji and the flaming heart emoji.

She added: “I can’t wait to see. 7 days to go,” along with a clapping emoji.

Meanwhile, WalesOnline reports, Love Island fans have joked that the show is ‘recycling Liams’ after casting Mr Llewellyn for the new film.

They explained: “Following the success of Welsh Liam last year, Love Island fans joked that the summer show was ‘recycling’ Welsh Liam, as there have now been two of them in consecutive years.

The producers are very interested in these Welsh contestants but that’s okay because the Welsh people are friendly and I like that accent too.”
