Love Island star Amy Hart has announced that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Sam Rason.
The reality TV personality, 30, appeared on Loose Women to reveal the news three years after she announced on the ITV show that she would be freezing her eggs.
“All of a sudden, we won’t start trying until next year… I’m in my 30s fully awake,” she said.
“People kept coming up to me and saying, ‘You don’t sound very drunk,’ and I said to my best friend, ‘people are starting to ask,’ and she said, ‘Well, then you’ll have to do something. . ‘
“So the Abba tribute band played Lay All Your Love On Me and I started crawling across the dance floor, and no one asked back.”
In 2019, Hart appeared on Loose Women to explain her decision to freeze her eggs at the age of 27, after undergoing a test that found her fertility levels were low for her age.
At the time, she considered freezing her eggs to have children as “insurance” in the event that she couldn’t find a partner.
When asked if she still uses her frozen eggs, Hart said: “No. I may need them in the future.
“It’s never about not being able to get pregnant, it’s about the longevity of my egg reserve. If I don’t need them, I’ll give them away.”
On Instagram, Hart said the couple were both nervous about being able to start a family but said they were delighted to welcome the joy in March.

“Earlier this year, we were told that if we didn’t get pregnant within 6 months of starting the trial, we would go straight to IVF. Life has a funny way!! “
The couple explained how they revealed the baby news to the family during Hart’s 30th birthday celebration.
When asked if they had found out the sex of the baby, Hart said: “No, I surprise other people and I ruin the surprises that were planned for me so this was the only surprise. the most that I can’t spoil.”
Hart added that she didn’t want to get engaged until after the pregnancy, but confirmed that they wanted to get married in Spain.
