This year’s Love Island lineup was named earlier this week, but some of the old contestants weren’t too pleased with the newcomers entering the mansion.
The Love Island Belle Hassan bombshell has joined the ranks of prominent former islanders in this year’s lineup.
This year’s ITV2 series contestants were unveiled this week to mixed reactions from former stars and the public.
The 24-year-old, who appeared on series five of the show, insists the contestants look ‘same year’.
After the line was announced, she asked her social media followers: “Does anyone else think the cast of love island for ‘I want to be an influencer’ are not”.
“Gorgeous…but boys and girls are the same every year.”

Speaking on The News Desk for TalkTV recently, the 26-year-old explained: “Diversity comes in so many different areas.
“It’s not just about ethnicity and what I think is great when you know, almost 50% of the cast will be diverse or come from different backgrounds. I still think we don’t see any Asians in the lineup. initial.

Other Asian contestants over the years include Shannon Singh, Priya Gopaldas and AJ Bunker.
Malin Andersson, who appeared in season two in 2016, and Thai contestant Kaz Crossley, who starred in season four, are among the Asian women who have joined the show.

The male contestants include Omar Sultani (from season one) and Nas Majeed (from season six).
Love Island’s criticism for its diversity and lack of oversized contestants is nothing new.
They were previously criticized for being too white and lacking “body diversity” after fans labeled the show “toxic”.
However, a Love Island spokesperson insisted ‘the only stipulation is that applicants must be over 18, single and looking for love.’
