Love Island: Faye clashes with Teddy in a swearing festival in 2021

Love it or hate it, Love Island will soon be upon us as a slew of beauties get ready to launch the villa next week.

The ITV dating show is a jewel in the channel’s crown and prides itself on showing viewers the highs and lows of the contestants’ experiences.

However, while fans know a lot – that Maura/Tommy is the best starter – they don’t get to show everything.

As we prepare for another summer of love, let’s take a look at what really went on behind the scenes.

McDonald’s in the mansion

In 2019, fans were left baffled when they saw MacDonald’s McFlurry hiding in the freezer.

Gangs are rarely seen eating on the show, but viewers couldn’t believe a cheeky Macca was included.

However, the daughter of actor Tamer Hassan, Belle and her ex Anton Danyluk confirmed the milkshake maker.

Belle told Heat magazine: “Yes, we needed that. We actually did it.”

While Anton added: “I think it’s about once a week we get them.

“I ate a few chicken nuggets here too. Belle was trying to fatten me up, before the next bomb hit.”

Of course it wasn’t the chicken nuggets that Anton had to worry about.

He and Belle split shortly after leaving the mansion with the make-up artist said to have grown fed up with his partner’s partying ways.

Faye threatened to quit her job

Faye Winter and her mistress Teddy Soares are still dating after meeting at the villa last year.

But the authorized agent almost bailed on the first day of filming.

The 26-year-old made the shocking confession during a conversation with host Laura Whitmore during the show’s finale.

Fans weren’t allowed to see the dramatic scene, but Faye said: “I don’t want to be here. I want to go home. I hate it.

“I wanted to go home. I wanted to call my mom and dad and say, ‘Come and get me’, but that worked out for the best.”

Teddy is said to be flirting with Kaila at Casa Amor

After months of being in the spotlight, Teddy got his girlfriend, Faye, and the rest is history.

But as told by Casa Amor bomber Kaila Troy, the Mancunian enjoyed spending time with her on the show.

Speaking to the Daily Star, she said: “I talked to all the boys, but I liked Teddy the most and we talked a lot!

“I mean they didn’t show it, but I talked to him a lot.

“We used to train together and just talk about life, you know the whole thing.”

Demi is awesome with Alexi

Demi Jones and Alexi Eraclides appear to have had a big showdown in the mansion in 2020.

According to the model, there is ‘a bit of disagreement’ over whether she will share a bed with Biggs or Alexi while the villa boys stay at Casa Amor with the rookies.

Confirming the argument, Demi said Metro : “It was a bit weird and it wasn’t even that bad. Alexi and I had an argument but they never aired it and I was pleasantly surprised.

“I thought it was weird and unusual because I’m not a confrontational person. He started attacking me and I said, ‘Argh, what do I do?’ “It’s a bit weird.”

Demi placed third on the show with her partner Luke Mabbott.

However, the couple split when they returned to the UK, and the influencer cited why their ‘differences in energy’ were.

Laura Anderson walks three times

Poor old Laura doesn’t have the easiest time on the show.

She was rejected twice by guys she really liked and even had to watch her best friend Georgia Steele have sex with her partner Jack Fowler.

According to The Sun, Laura said: “I went out three times. They brought me back. The first time I stepped outside was when Wes [Anderson] peek at me. I didn’t sleep all night.”

Despite her rocky path on the show, Laura is currently living the dream in Dubai with Other Class star Dane Bowers.
