The former Love Island contestant paid tribute to her late brother Llŷr with a touching tattoo in her brother’s handwriting two years after he tragically passed away.
Love Island’s Dr. Alex George paid tribute to his late brother Llŷr with a touching tattoo written in his brother’s handwriting.
Llŷr tragically passed away in July 2020 after struggles with mental health, shortly before he began self-studying medicine.
Dr Alex used his Instagram account on Saturday to share an image of the heartfelt design, written on the inside of his left wrist in a wave.
Meanwhile, the second image shows Llŷr’s handwritten name on an old school workbook that the tattoo artist used to copy.
Alongside the images, Dr. Alex included the caption: “Llŷr ‘God Of The Sea’. The most beautiful name, it means so much when it’s handwritten. We will never forget you, my x boy.”
The literal translation of this name is ‘from the sea’.
The photos received more than 60,000 likes on the social media platform within hours of being shared, with one user commenting: “A beautiful loving connection exists.”
Another said: “This is so beautiful, he’s always with you.”
The third added: “You are a great person and a great brother to Alex.”
Dr Alex, who rose to fame in series four of the popular ITV2 show, previously gave his followers an insight into his younger brother’s life on his 21st birthday. in February.
Writing in February, he said: “Today is Llŷr’s 21st birthday. Over the past year I have talked a lot about how hard it was to lose him, I am very sad even though I have not said much. more about who he is.
“Let me tell you a little bit about him. Llŷr is kind, sensitive, funny, loves cars and is a great brother. He is exceptionally intelligent and a great athlete. We often talk for hours about the latest cars and what our dreams will be.
“Llŷr loves his sport very much, at school he scored goal after attempt at rugby. He was a perfectionist at heart. When he was involved in basketball, he He used to practice shooting at the net for hours every evening.
