Georgia Harrison explains why she was dropped from TOWIE

Former Love Island stars Georgia Harrison and Joshua Ritchie all but got their Instagram followers into a frenzy on Thursday night after seemingly announcing they were expecting a baby together.

The reality TV stars, who shared a post together, seemed to indicate they were expecting it, but many of Georgia’s 1.1million followers weren’t getting carried away.

The couple, both 27, captioned the picture, which saw Georgia appear to be cradling her stomach: “Can’t believe we’ve managed to keep this a secret for so long, at least the cat is out of the bag. To new beginnings.”

In a follow-up comment, Georgia continued, “Of course we hope it has my brain, our sense of humor and 80 percent my post-edit looks.”

While some fans were quick to send congratulations to the duo, others questioned whether it was a prank.

The captions were all quickly deleted from the post and the comments disabled as the pair seemingly backtracked on the joke.

Georgia looked stunning in a fitted lime green dress that featured a high slit down one leg. She kept the color vibrant as she paired it with a pair of light pink fluffy heels.

Josh opted for a more casual look, wearing an Yves Saint Laurent embellished black and gray sweatshirt, skinny black jeans and a pair of trainers.

In her Insta story, Georgia tried to downplay the “fake news” post.

First, she jokingly asked Paige Ginn if she would “fart” the baby’s gender before re-sharing the pic, admitting, “I’m not pregnant we were just lounging because in half the pics I mean it for some reason held my stomach [sic].”

She then shared what appeared to be personal messages to Joshua, which included a selection of pictures from the night. Her caption read, “why am I holding my tummy so it looks like it’s our baby shower,” before adding a laughing emoji.

And to make sure the rumors were quashed, she included another slide that read, “Also just to confirm I never said I was pregnant…xx.”
