Love Island voiceover star Iain Stirling appeared to slam the April Fool’s joke just moments before his wife Laura Whitmore made a joke about condoms.
The Irish presenter, 34, who hosts the dating show, shared a new product for Muff Gin Liquor – an alcohol brand she’s promoting – on her Instagram, which turned out to be a joke.
“If you’re looking for reassurance make sure it’s tasty @muffliquorco #alwaysberesponsible #someoneiscomingsoon.”
But shortly after she posted, her 34-year-old comic husband wrote on his Twitter account, “To the April fools folks this year… Read the room.”
Although Iain wasn’t impressed by today’s April Fool’s Day jokes, Laura’s fans loved her.

“Oh my god this is awesome,” one person wrote.
Another shared, “My favorite April Fool’s jokes so far.”
It comes after Laura reportedly signed a half-million pound deal to present the next series of Love Island.
The TV star is said to have finalized the terms after reports she was stepping down from hosting duties.
However, she will star in another series.
A source tells The sun : “There was a lot of speculation that Laura might step down or that other presenters were lined up for the role.
“Laura and the show managers always hoped that she would re-sign – it was just a matter of making sure the timing worked.
“She looks forward to returning to Casa Amor and seeing the drama unfold.”
Laura took over hosting duties for the ITV2 dating show after Caroline Flack resigned in 2019.
She’s also starring in the Celebrity Juice panel, which she opened up about in a new interview – and revealed the latest series will be ‘bolder than ever’.
“It’s Celebrity Juice, so yeah! Keith is naughtier than ever,” her co-star Emily Atack told Heat magazine.
“I’m so thankful we’re back. And it’s my first time as a team captain in front of a full audience. To be honest, we all cried when we did the first recording. It was emotional.”
They also talked about the dream guests they would like to see on the show, including Mike Myers, Jim Carrey and Winona Ryder.
Laura said: “I really want to have the Queer Eye team there – Tan France or Jonathan Van Ness. Actually every one of them. I’d love to find someone you might not think would come to Juice, like Dame Judi Densch.”
